I-58 Ministries

Isaiah 58 inspires the community outreach ministries at Ferris Hill. Through the inception of the I-58 Ministries, we've extended our arms to embrace the forgotten and downtrodden. These ministries stand as beacons of hope, embodying our commitment to serve those in need. From the year round ministry of a clothes closet and food pantry to the establishment of a warm refuge in the form of a cold-weather shelter during the colder months of the year, each endeavor is a testament to our unwavering dedication to embody the spirit of Isaiah 58.

Food & Clothes pantry

The Food and Clothes Pantry are open 9:00am-Noon every Tuesday. The community is welcome to come with their needs as well as donate items.

Cold Weather Shelter

Ferris Hill Baptist Church's Cold Weather Shelter (CWS) is open each year from October through March on nights the temperature is expected to drop below 40 degrees. The shelter is available to anyone who is heatless or homeless. Guests check-in from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm and are excused the following morning at 7:00 am. Guests will be given a bed for the night in the fellowship hall, dinner and breakfast, and offered the chance to shower.

Volunteer opportunities are available for Check-in, Supper, Overnight, Breakfast, Showers, and "Refresh". Volunteers choose a specific night or morning of the week to serve for the entire season. Volunteers are normally notified at least 24 hours in advance of when the shelter will be open. If the shelter is not open, the volunteers for that night or morning do not report for duty. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Tom Turman (eight-five-zero - 623-3500).
