How it all started...
Ferris Hill Baptist Church began in the late 1940’s as a new church work form Milton First Baptist Church, and continues to be a member of the Santa Rosa Baptist Association and Southern Baptist Convention. Through the years our pursuit has been to reach and minister to the people of our community–especially those who are often forgotten.
Expanding the vision...
Within the heart of the community, our church has embarked on a transformative journey, echoing the compassionate call of Isaiah 58. Through the inception of the I-58 Ministries, we've extended our arms to embrace the forgotten and downtrodden. These ministries stand as beacons of hope, embodying our commitment to serve those in need. From the humble beginnings of a clothes closet and a food pantry to the establishment of a warm refuge in the form of a cold-weather shelter, each endeavor is a testament to our dedication to embody the spirit of Isaiah 58. As we continue to expand our vision, we strive to create a community where compassion knows no bounds and where every individual is valued, cherished, and supported.
Isaiah 58:6 “Is not this the fast that I choose...
7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
Where we are headed...
As we look forward, our church is guided by our foundational principles of reaching UP, OUT, and IN. We reach UP by worshiping God through heartfelt song, fervent prayer, and the illuminating wisdom of Scripture. This dedication serves as the cornerstone of our spiritual journey, grounding us in faith and guiding all that we do.
In the spirit of reaching OUT, we want to show the love of Christ to our community. Through the compassionate outreach of initiatives like the I-58 Ministries, we strive to embody the love and grace of Christ in tangible, impactful ways, fostering genuine connections and fostering a sense of belonging for all.
Moreover, our commitment to reaching IN underscores the importance of nurturing and supporting one another within our church family. As we journey together, we are committed to showing care, compassion, and ensuring that each member of our congregation feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
As we continue to expand our horizons and deepen our impact, we remain steadfast in our resolve to reach UP, OUT, and IN, forging a path illuminated by faith, love, and unwavering devotion to God and one another.
